Living in Spain
Following the UK's withdrawal from the EU and the end of the transition period, Royal Decree 38/2020 extended the entitlement to a UK driving licence until 30 April 2022.
After this date, if you have been living in Spain for 6 months or longer, your UK license is no longer valid and you need to change to a Spanish driving license.
If you intend to live to Spain, your UK licence will be valid for a period of up to 6 months from the date of arrival.

What documents do I need to obtain my driving licence?
A health and mental health certificate issued by an authorised driving test centre and an identity card-sized photograph are required. The health certificate is valid for 90 days. *
Two passport-sized photographs
Photocopy of your Spanish residence visa or permit (and original) or a photocopy of your passport with the NIE number.
Proof of address in Spain, dated not more than three months, available from the local town hall. (Padrón)
A signed declaration stating that the applicant does not already hold a Spanish driving licence and that they are not currently in legal proceedings.
